.au Community Domains (auCD*) have provided this website for the recent bushfire affected Whittlesea community to help with the rebuilding of your community as a potential focus point where community members can:

• Share stories
• Thank people
• Remember people lost
• Communicate community events and news
• Share emergency evacuation/aftermath strategies
• Provide links to important information (such as: council links, emergency information links), for egs. see the Emergency Information section

 *auCD is a not-for-profit organisation that was established by auDA (.au Domain Administration Ltd) to facilitate the development of Community Geographic Domain Names (CGDNs). 

auDA has agreed to temporarily waive the Policy Rules and Guidelines for CGDNs until 30/6/10 to provide this communication facility for Victorian Bushfire affected communities.  If the CGDN cannot be transferred to an eligible entity within the local community on or before 30th June, 2010, then the CGDN will be deleted.  For more information on CGDNs and auCD please see the auCD website at http://www.aucd.org.au/
